Modern Under Sink Filtration Systems for All Properties
Mark the sink apron for the instant hot water dispenser. Find the area’s center, punch it, and drill a 3/8-inch pilot hole. Using the right-sized punch, complete the hole. Do not drill the 3/8-inch hole if using a spot saw instead of a knock-out punch. Now, you are ready to install the instant hot water dispenser.
Install the tanks under sink bracket. Place this bracket so the tank is 3 inches above the cabinet bottom. Before tightening the bracket’s screws, level it. The bracket’s large slots allow for levelling. Screw the tank to the bracket.
Cut the copper tubing with a tubing cutter and install a compression tee. Some plumbing codes don’t allow saddle tees, which avoid the need to cut copper pipe/tubing. Compression tee fittings are recommended.
Connect the tank inlet to the new tee using the tubing and compression fittings. Long enough tubing ensures stress-free connections. Hold the tee while tightening the compression nut with one wrench. Connect the tank fitting similarly.
Plug the instant hot water dispenser tank into a dishwasher or garbage disposal receptacle. If there’s no outlet under the sink, you’ll need to run a new circuit from the service panel or extend an existing outlet circuit.
